Join River Takada-Capel for an evening of pro-active slow-stitching. River will demonstrate different styles of traditional hand-stitching, sashiko, and creative mending. We will have assorted fabric, threads, needles, and trims for a stitched sampler. Students are encouraged bring textiles or clothing in need of repair or embellishment. Sashiko kits, screenprinted patches, and additional materials available for purchase.
