Learn about our upcoming virtual class for the Cielo Top with Shaerie Mead.

Sewing Skills: Cielo Top

Instructor: Shaerie Mead

The Cielo Dress & Top is an easy, breezy take on a boxy tee and shift dress. We'll be making the cropped top with short sleeves and a faced neckline in three 3-hour sessions. Loaded with interesting details and interchangeable features, it will fast become a wardrobe-building favorite. This class is suitable for a confident beginner who has made a garment before, and for intermediate sewists looking to build their construction skills. We’ll also review techniques for a bias finished neckline, the dress with pockets, and the gathered lantern sleeves.

Fabrics can be yarn dyed or printed cottons, linen or linen blends* - we’ll discuss each one and how it will affect the final garment. *Please do not purchase your fabric before the first class, as we will be going over skills that might change your yardage and final fabric type!
