December 2023 Classes
Classes will state if they are IN PERSON, VIRTUAL, or HYBRID. Hybrid classes will allow for both in person or remote attendance. You will receive the Zoom link with registration for virtual and hybrid classes.
Vaccination required for in-person attendance. At this time, masks are optional inside the classroom; please be mindful of our shared space. Hybrid and virtual classes include a class recording.
Knitting in the Round: Soft Serve Beanie HYBRID
November 30, December 7 + 14, 10 am- 12 pm, $90
You know how to knit and purl, so let's move from flat squares to knitting in the round! Knit your first hat and learn skills for all sorts of future projects. We will cover knitting in the round on circular and double point needles, decreasing, reading charts, and finishing techniques. Students should be able to cast-on, knit, and purl.

Knit Skills: The Toph Hat HYBRID
December 2 + 16, 10 am- 12 pm, $60
Toph looks great in solid or highly variegated yarns!
This gorgeous hat from Woolly Wormhead features an unusual construction and is a quick project packed with great new techniques that you'll see in many future patterns. This class will cover a provisional cast-on, German short-rows, reading knitting charts, and grafting. Students should be comfortable following knitting patterns with knits, purls, increases and decreases.

Knit Skills: Lucky 13 Slipper Socks HYBRID
December 2 + 9, 11-2 pm, $60
'Tis the season for quick gift knitting (and warm toes!) This cozy pattern covers all the basic techniques for toe-up sock knitting in super-bulky yarn. Students should be comfortable knitting and purling in the round on either double pointed needles or magic loop.

Sew Your Own: Studio Tunic IN PERSON
December 3 + 10, 11 am- 2 pm, $90
The Studio Tunic is the perfect layering piece, with big pockets and functional details. This pattern includes lots of garment sewing techniques, including pockets, pleats, interfacing, and topstitching. We'll choose our size, cut our fabric, and sew and finish our seams. Students should be comfortable independently setting up and sewing by machine.

Fabric- Prewashed midweight woven fabric for your size (2.25-3.25 yds)
Coordinating thread
Notions- .75 yd of lightweight woven interfacing (like Shapeflex Lightweight)
Fresh machine needle (Universal, 80/12 is a good weight)
We have all basic sewing supplies in the classroom, but you may want to bring your own sewing kit (scissors, pins, seam ripper, marking tools) for convenience.
Bring your own working sewing machine, or rent one of ours.
Sewing Sessions with Erin IN PERSON
December 17, 12-2 pm, $30
Ready to build your skills, try something new, or get out of the house & chat with other sewing folk? Join instructor Erin West for support & guidance in this 2-hour group sewing workshop. Bring a project, ask questions and brainstorm new ideas. Must be comfortable setting up a machine & working independently. Use of our classroom equipment included (machine, iron, scissors, etc) or BYO favorite tools.
Include your project info so the instructor can prepare to best help you.

We've all got a knitting Work In Progress that could use some help! Join an instructor for assistance! Come work on your projects with guidance and support. This is a group class for students who are starting, working on, or need help completing projects. If you have any questions about whether your project is appropriate for this class, please contact the shop with a description.
