Classes will state if they are IN PERSON, VIRTUAL, or HYBRID. Hybrid classes will allow for both in person or remote attendance. You will receive the Zoom link with registration for virtual and hybrid classes.
Please keep vaccinations up-to-date for in-person attendance. At this time, masks are optional inside the classroom; please be mindful of our shared space. Hybrid and virtual classes include a class recording.

Don't let summer weather stop your knitting! This romantic tank features airy lace panels down the side, and is designed for breezy plant fibers. We'll cover basic sweater fit and construction, lace charts, picking up stitches, and tubular bind-off. Students should be comfortable knitting and purling in the round, and have experience working from a pattern.

Sewing Sessions with Erin

Ready to build your skills, try something new, or get out of the house & chat with other sewing folk? Join instructor Erin West for support & guidance in this 2-hour group sewing workshop. Bring a project, ask questions and brainstorm new ideas. Must be comfortable setting up a machine & working independently. Use of our classroom equipment included (machine, iron, scissors, etc) or BYO favorite tools.
Include your project info so the instructor can prepare to best help you.

Grow your crochet skills with the perfect summer bag! We will cover magic ring cast-on, single and double crochet, seaming squares, and this fun variation on a basic granny square. Students should be able to form a crochet chain.

Knit Skills: Your First Socks HYBRID

Learn top-down sock construction using worsted weight yarn. These thick socks knit up quickly and keep your feet toasty! From here, you’re on your way to knitting socks in all weights and designs. Students should confidently knit and purl; experience knitting in the round is helpful not required. We will learn basic top down sock construction, Old Norwegian cast-on, using DPNs or magic loop, short rows, Kitchener stitch, and fit adjustments.

Sewing Skills: Zipper Pouch IN PERSON
July 14, 11 am - 2 pm, $45
Keep growing your sewing skills with a Boxed Zipper Bag! We'll learn to insert a zipper, use fusible interfacing, sew a bag lining, and create boxed corners. Students should be able to set up and thread a machine and sew straight seams while maintaining an accurate seam allowance.

Sew Your Own: Mave Skirt IN PERSON
July 21 + 28, 11 - 2 pm, $90
This easy, breezy skirt is a summer wardrobe essential, and it's beginner-friendly! We'll go over choosing a size, marking and cutting out fabric, gathering and attaching ruffles, inserting an elastic waistband, and sewing buttonholes and narrow hems. Students should be comfortable setting up and sewing by machine, and maintaining an accurate seam allowance.

Pattern- The Mave Skirt from True Bias. If using a PDF pattern, come with your pattern assembled. It's a good idea to read through the pattern instructions in advance of class.
Fabric- Prewashed lightweight to midweight woven fabric for your size and view. The pattern requires 54" + wide fabric. Lining Fabric is optional, but recommended for sheer fabrics

We have all basic sewing supplies in the classroom, but you may want to bring your own sewing kit (scissors, pins, seam ripper, marking tools) for convenience.

Work In Progress Knitting Help IN PERSON

We've all got a knitting Work In Progress that could use some help! Join an instructor for assistance! Come work on your projects with guidance and support. This is a group class for students who are starting, working on, or need help completing projects. If you have any questions about whether your project is appropriate for this class, please contact the shop with a description.
