Knit an Heirloom Stocking
THIS IS A VIRTUAL CLASS THAT MEETS ON ZOOM
Knit a new holiday heirloom and learn some great knitting techniques, including two-color cast on, Latvian Braid, corrugated rib, charted colorwork, and sock shaping. In four 2-hour sessions broken down step by step, you'll have a family treasure to be proud of! Students should be comfortable knitting and purling in the round.

Basic Brioche Knitting: Water Born Headwrap
THIS IS A VIRTUAL CLASS THAT MEETS ON ZOOM
Want to learn brioche, but worried that it's too complicated? Learn the basics in a one day, single color brioche class, making the Water Born headband from Jacqueline Cieslak. We'll cover provisional cast-on, single color brioche, and common brioche terms, techniques, and abbreviations. Students should be comfortable knitting and purling.

Pattern for the Water Born headwrap from Jacqueline Cieslak (in store or on Ravelry)
130-150 yd DK yarn (or one strand of fingering held with one laceweight mohair or other yarn with a halo = DK)
Main needles for brioche: US 4 (3.5 mm) 24” circular
Larger needles for i-cord bind off: US 6 (4 mm), any length circular or DPN
Notions: scrap yarn, darning needle, crochet hook for provisional cast-on

THIS IS A VIRTUAL CLASS THAT MEETS ON ZOOM
Learn techniques for colorwork knitting and open a world of intricate patterns! The Sandoval Sweater has a striking two-color, geometric design that keeps you excited to knit the next row. We will cover general sweater techniques, sizing, colorwork strategies, and short row shaping for your new favorite sweater. Students should have experience working from a pattern with increases and decreases.

2 colors of DK weight yarn for your size (make a 4" swatch)
US 6 (4.0 mm) circular needles, minimum 30” cord
US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles, minimum 30” cord
Needles in both sizes for sleeve knitting (DPNs, magic loop, or 9-12” circular)
Stitch markers, tapestry needle

Knit-A-Long: Wave of Change Jacket
Join us for a fall Knit-A-Long with a side of voter empowerment! We will be knitting the Wave of Change jacket by Denise Bayron. We will cast on during our regular Virtual Craft Club on Sunday, September 20 at 3 pm with a goal of finishing by Sunday November 1.
To participate in the Knit-A-Long, you need to take one action to encourage voter registration and voter turnout. We will donate $5 for each participant to You Can Vote. Active participants will be entered in a raffle for a $50 gift certificate.
I will ask everyone who is eligible to check their voter registration at the Cast On event.
Qualifying actions include:
-Serving as a Poll Worker
-Participating in a voter registration event.
-Phone- or text-banking
-Rides to the polls
