The perfect cozy cardigan for your fall wardrobe (or a gift that even the picky teens in your life would love)!

Saturdays September 11- November 13, 10 am- 12 pm. $270

The Sarah cardigan is a perfect fall layer in a cozy rib with large pockets. The pattern uses the Cocoknits method for a perfect fit in the shoulders and chest, while the half-fisherman’s rib gives a very lofty, squishy texture. This class is best for someone who has knit a sweater before and wants to refine fit and learn new techniques, or a confident knitter who has experience reading a pattern, and is very good at following directions.

We will be learning new skills every week, including provisional cast-on, short rows, picking up stitches, i-cord, pockets, buttonholes, half-fisherman's rib, and general sweater fit and shaping.

Instructor: Amie Palmer

Materials:

The Sarah cardigan from Cocoknits (paper copy or PDF)

DK weight yarn for the size you're knitting

US 6 / 4 mm circular needle 40" (x 2)

This handy project bag is perfect for organizing your projects, with a roomy interior compartment, pockets to corral your notions, and grommets to keep yarn from tangling. Sew Your Own: Kalle Shirt Dress

Sundays, September 12, 19, + 26, 1-4 PM, $135

With a loose, body skimming silhouette and a number of interchangeable design features, the Kalle Shirt & Shirtdress is the ultimate in chic, easy dressing. View A is a cropped top with a wide faced hem, View B is a tunic length top and View C is a shirtdress with a high-low hem. All versions have a back yoke, curved hems and sleeves that extend into bands. For this class, I’ll be making the full button placket version (choose your own length!) and demonstrating the hidden placket and popover placket. I’ll also talk about converting the hemline into a standard straight hem if the curves are not your style.

This class is a fast paced and packed with demos! Please have your fabric washed & pressed for the first class as we will be diving right in. Light to medium weight wovens are ideal, and as always I recommend a print with a clear right side / wrong side for your first Kalle.
